todays work

Sun Feb 01 2026

Sorry for not uploading from now on i will be more consistent.

I’m currently building a hoverboard-based movement system for the game.

Today’s work focused on fixing a rotation issue that showed up when riding over slopes and uneven terrain. In some cases, the board could get “stuck” at the wrong angle after leaving a slope, which broke the feeling of smooth movement.

The hoverboard now correctly adapts its rotation based on how it’s contacting the ground, resulting in:

Smooth transitions on and off slopes

Stable rotation when cresting edges or dropping down

No need for jump resets or other hacks to recover

With this, the hoverboard’s rotation and stability are now MVP-ready (i think).
